Simply Guitar - Learn Guitar

What Simply Guitar does

Simply Guitar - Learn Guitar is an education app for people who want guided practice on an acoustic guitar. It introduces core skills such as tuning, reading tabs, forming chords and changing between them, then builds towards more involved exercises and songs.

The app uses the phone’s microphone to listen while someone plays and gives feedback on whether the notes and chords are being played accurately. Step-by-step video lessons provide demonstrations, while the lesson path gives beginners a clear sequence to follow instead of leaving them to choose exercises at random.

Who it may suit

• People starting guitar with little or no previous music experience
• Learners who prefer short, guided lessons over unstructured practice
• Players who want feedback from the phone while working on chords, strumming and timing
• Families looking for a structured music-learning app for a guitar player on a shared device

What to consider

Simply Guitar is designed around active playing rather than watching lessons alone. A learner will need a guitar and a reasonably quiet setting so the microphone can pick up the instrument. The built-in tuner and on-screen accuracy cues can help with early practice, but they do not replace a teacher who can correct posture, hand position or other physical technique.

Its guided format is likely to be most useful for someone who benefits from a defined practice route. More experienced guitarists may find the introductory material less relevant, although the later exercises and song-based practice can provide additional structure.
